| Lawrence County High
School is a 4A school located 2 blocks west of Hwy 33 in Moulton
and is the largest high school in Lawrence County. LCHS
provides educational opportunities for students in grades eight
through twelve. Beginning the 2009-2010 school year Speake
students grades 9-12 will also be attending LCHS. There are 800 students enrolled. The
staff of 59 includes 45 teachers and 20 support workers.
The original building at the present site opened its doors in
1960. The building has been improved to include 30
classrooms, a library, a computer lab, a cafeteria, a gymnasium
and an auditorium. The band room is a separate building.
Ten additional classrooms will be available for student at the
beginning of the 2009 school year.
Sports and extra facilities complete the campus which include a
greenhouse, football stadium, track, and a newly completed
softball field.
